“In those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that the whole World should be enrolled.” – Luke 2:1
“Even the hairs on your head have all been counted. Do not be afraid. You are worth more than many sparrows.” – Luke 12:7
Registration at Holy Spirit is a form of Stewardship. Strangely enough, there are people who have attended Mass regularly for 40+ years who are surprised to find that they are not officially registered. While registration is not mandatory and is not required by a decree from Father Brendan, your registration does help us keep count of our parish family.
With parish registration, comes access to all of our mailings and emails to keep you in the loop. Father Brendan’s homilies and our Community Update are sent out on a weekly basis. You will have access to information about upcoming events, such as registration for things like Saturdays at Sacred Heart, Nicaragua and Mississippi Mission trips, our annual Crab Feed, Parish Picnic and so much more. You will also be the first to receive special announcements and alerts about our parish and community. Additionally, once you are registered, you will begin receiving a bi-monthly Valley Catholic for all the latest Diocesan-wide news.
As a practical matter, parish registration is required for all of the sacraments: Baptism, First Eucharist, Confirmation, Matrimony and Funerals.
If you are not sure of your registration status, please check in with Katie Metzger at 408-997-5115 or firstname.lastname@example.org. If you know that you are not registered, click here to register online, or start the process by completing one of the welcome cards found in the seat backs at Mass.
