Back by popular demand, the Newman Center, a Catholic campus ministry center at San Jose State University, has been revamped this year beginning in February. The Newman Center project became one of the five initiatives for Young Adult Ministry in our diocese. Though the ministry is still developing, major progress has been made within the last seven to eight months such as: providing weekly Sunday Mass during the spring and fall semesters, recruiting a campus ministry coordinator, Wendy Plasencia, resetting the vision and mission of the ministry, and developing the core leadership team.
