New Health & Wellness Ministry
Do you not know that your body is a temple of the holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been purchased at a price. Therefore, glorify God in your body. – 1 Corinthians 6:19–20
Our parish has a new ministry committed to your health and well being! The Health & Wellness Ministry Team serves the people of Holy Spirit Church and its community, supporting health and wellness in mind, body and spirit.
This ministry team is comprised of willing parishioners who work as professionals in several health disciplines. Under the support of the Director of Pastoral Care, they are called to share their expertise in exploring, planning and implementing programs to address the overall wellness of the faith community. The current team includes medical doctors, registered nurses, social workers and certified fitness trainers.
The Health & Wellness Ministry is committed to identifying and responding to the physical, emotional and spiritual health needs of our parish community across the age spectrum. They seek to address health concerns that affect all or many of our community members and to promote an understanding of the relationship between values, attitudes, life–style, faith and well–being.
