Time is one of the most precious gifts we have. How we spend our time is one of the most important indications of what is important in our lives. Your time is your gift to share. How will you share your time for the common good?

Current Needs

ESL for Our Lady of Refuge
Of the many needs that the new Our Lady of Refuge parish community has expressed, learning English topped all lists. Parents want to be more involved in their children’s education, young people desire jobs, families want access to simple social services. All of these require English.

Holy Spirit, in collaboration with other parishes, is working to address this need. We are looking for people who have ESL instruction experience, as well as those who can spend some time in conversation for practice. Spanish or Vietnamese abilities are helpful, but not necessary. We will be taking sign-ups next weekend, January 28-29, at the end of all Masses, or you can contact Mike Ferrero at mferrero9@yahoo.com.  There will be an information meeting Friday, February 10, from 7-8 p.m. in the Parish Hall, to discuss details and answer any questions you may have.
