FIRE Program Communal Discernment Talk & Prayer Service – April 14th & 21st
Hearing God’s Will for Our Community
Join us in the Church on Thursday, April 14th, at 7:30 p.m., when Fr. Dave Ayotte, SJ will present on Communal Discernment.
As part of the FIRE program at Holy Spirit, Fr. Dave will explore ways that a group of leaders or a larger faith community like Holy Spirit Parish can better think as one in doing God’s will. We will discuss ways for a community to move from individual discernment of God’s will to walking together as a community in listening to God’s will. This is especially helpful when a community – small or large – is making important decisions on service or its future. The evening is 7:30-8:15 p.m. followed by questions and light refreshments. All are welcome.
Join us on Thursday, April 21st for an evening prayer service for Communal Discernment.
The parish will be offering a prayer service led by some of the participants of the FIRE program. The evening is meant as a support to the Pastoral Team as they communally discern the mission and service of the 30 people currently involved in FIRE. These people for the past 3 months have been praying on deepening their service to the Church. Everyone in the parish is invited into this process where the whole community grows in its ability to think as one in listening to the Holy Spirit. The service is from 7:30-8:30 p.m. in the Church, followed by light refreshments.
