FAITH DEVELOPMENT > CHILDREN'S PROGRAMS

Overview of Program

Holy Spirit invites all children and youth, baptized or not, to participate in the catechetical program.  There are program fees associated with all classes except as noted. Classes are offered from October to May.

EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION, Ages 3-5
Meets Sunday mornings during the 9:30 a.m. Liturgy.

    • 3 year olds - Exploring the wonders of God's Creation
    • Pre-Kindergarten - Appreciation God's Gifts of Creation within themselves and the world.
    • Kindergarten - Learning about Jesus and the values of helping, loving, and sharing.

ELEMENTARY CATECHETICAL PROGRAM, Grades 1-5.
Monday or Tuesday afternoons, 4:00-5:15 p.m.; or, Thursday evening, 6:50-8:00 p.m.

    • Grade 1 - The Blessed Trinity                                                                                                             
    • Grade 2 - Belonging to the Catholic Christian Community
    • Grade 3 – We are the Church
    • Grade 4 - Christian Morality: the Beatitudes and Ten Commandments

GRADE 6 –MIDDLE SCHOOL
Meets twice a month on Thursday evenings from 6:50-8:00 p.m.

Theme: The Hebrew Scriptures and Jesus as the fulfillment of the Covenant.

LITURGY OF THE WORD for children:
This program presents the Sunday Readings to children (Grades 1-6) at their level of understanding to help them enter more fully into the weekly Eucharistic Celebration. It takes place during the weekend Masses (5 p.m. Saturday; and 9:30 & 11:30 a.m. There is no program fee.
