What is Alpha for?

A ten-week course that is a practical exploration of the Christian faith.

• Anyone interested in finding out more about the Christian faith.
  • Adults of all ages are welcome, no matter where you are on your faith journey or what your spiritual background is.
• Learning and laughter.
  • It is possible to learn about the Christian faith and to have fun at the same time.
    The teaching presented on video covers the basics of the Christian faith.
• Pasta!
  • Each meeting starts with a meal and an opportunity to get to know each other and to make new friends.
• Helping one another.
  • The small group gives you a chance to discuss issues raised during the talks.
    The agenda is yours!
• Ask anything.

Alpha is a place where no question is regarded as too simple or too hostile.

What Happens at Alpha?

We talk about:

• Jesus - who He is and why He died?
• The Bible - why and how should I read it?
• Prayer - how do I pray - and why?
• God - does He heal today, how does He guide us?
• And what about the Church, the Holy Spirit?
• And much more besides.

What will it cost?

There is no charge for the Alpha course.

When and Where

Alpha meets once a week for 10 weeks in the Holy Spirit Parish Hall.
